Includes different kit configurations: The red and yellow standard kits each include one adjustable plastic door-lock guide, one 2-1/8-inch (54 mm) main hole saw, one 1-inch (25 mm) latch hole saw, and one arbor with a pilot drill bit. The expanded tool set includes the standard drilling components plus a metal mortising jig, an extension holder, a screwdriver bit, a router bit, and a hex key for more detailed door-hardware installation projects. Contents and guide color vary by the selected option; a power drill and mounting screws are not included.

Follows four easy installation steps: Position the guide on the wood door and secure it firmly with suitable screws, drill the main bore halfway from each side for cleaner results, drill the latch hole through the side opening, and then install the latch and lockset before testing the operation.

Designed for common wood doors: Suitable for replacing old locks or installing new door knobs on bedroom, bathroom, closet, utility-room, rental-property, and other interior wood doors. The guide template is intended for wood-door lock installation only.

Provides marked positioning options: The adjustable guide features marked positions for common 2-3/8-inch and 2-3/4-inch backsets. Measure the door thickness and backset first, align the guide with the correct markings, and confirm that it fits securely before drilling.

Supports practical cutting applications: For door-lock installation, use the guide template on wood doors only. The included hole saws are shown for cutting solid wood boards, plywood, particle board, and drywall, but are not recommended for glass, tile, granite, metal, brick, stone, stainless steel, thin steel sheets, or other fragile and hard materials.
