Proper Montessori approach - my lad actually prepares his own snack now! The steel knife's blunt edge is genius for teaching proper grip. Wish the set came with a storage box though, keeps getting mixed with our proper utensils.

As an early years teacher, I'm impressed! The serrated knives cut through bananas perfectly for fruit salads. Kids love the textured handles - great for developing fine motor skills. Just be warned, you'll need to hide the 'grown-up knives' afterwards!

Bit pricey but worth every penny. My twins (age 5) can safely chop veggies for stir-fry now. The PP coating prevents slips - clever touch. Wood knife did warp slightly after dishwasher incident (my bad!).

Bought these for my 4-year-old who's obsessed with helping in the kitchen. The crocodile design is adorable - she calls it her 'snappy knife'! Surprisingly effective at cutting soft fruits, though obviously needs supervision. Only gripe is the wooden knife shows stains after cutting carrots.
